Oyo governor Seyi Makinde on Monday appointed a new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and reassigned several key officials in a major shake-up in his cabinet.
This was announced in a statement issued on Monday by Makinde’s Special Adviser (Media), Sulaimon Olanrewaju
According to the statement Makinde sacked Professor Olanike Kudirat Adeyemo as SSG with immediate effect and replaced her with Professor Musibau Adetunji Babatunde.
Also, the Oyo governor redeployed Barrister Temilolu Seun Ashamu, his Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
Makinde also elevated his Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, Ademola Aderinto, to the position of commissioner-designate. He is expected to be presented to the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
The Oyo State Governor also appointed Hon. Abiodun Adedoja as his Special Adviser on Energy Security, while Kolawole Elijah Akanmu was named Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning.
“These changes are part of the governor’s continued commitment to ensuring efficient service delivery and effective governance in Oyo State,” the statement concluded.
