An Osun born business tycoon, Prince Michael Ayantunde and his wife Grace Titi Ponnle who is the former deputy governor of Osun State have described the Award of Doctorate of Science in Technology/ Engineering (Honoris Causa) conferred on Sir Ademola Aladekomo by the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife as a testament to his decades of visionary leadership.
In a congratulatory message jointly signed by the couple on Saturday and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, felicitate with Sir Aladekomo on the prestigious academic milestone, noting that it is a reward to his relentless pursuit of excellence, and immense contributions to Nigeria’s technological and economic landscape.
According to the Adà born Prince Ayantunde Ponnle who married the Golden Daughter of Osogbo Otunba Grace Titi Tomori-Ponnle: “We extend our warmest congratulations to Sir Demola Aladekomo, on your conferment of Award of Doctorate of Science in Technology/ Engineering (Honoris Causa) by the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU. Sir Aladekomo is a Board Member of Títí Tomori-Ponnle Foundation (TTPF). He has pioneered innovations—from the first e-payment cards to national identity infrastructure—that continue to shape the future of our nation. He led the teams that delivered the first successful national ID card project and the Bank Verification Number (BVN) for Nigeria. He also conceptualized ChamsCity, which earned Guinness World Records for the largest digital malls/cyber centres. Sir Aladekomo has served as President of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) and the Lagos Business School Alumni Association (LBSAA). He is the founder of the Volunteer Corps and DATA Foundation, focusing on empowering students in public schools.
