Avoid sinking with the PDP – Fadahunsi urges politicians in Osun

In light of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) leadership issue, Senator Francis Fadahunsi of Osun East Senatorial District has urged political office holders in the state and elsewhere to avoid sinking with the party.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday in his hometown of Ilase-Ijesa, he praised President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms, claiming that we are all suffering from bastardise economy and urged all members to show some support.

He recalled: “When the President began his administration in 2023, some of us in opposition opposed the reforms, but they have all yielded today, prompting us to join the APC.

“I am from a rural area and closer with the people in the grassroots, I have discussed with the President, and he is ready to bring development to my constituency. I can assure you that from now on, you will begin to see development in Ife/Ijesa.

“At first, some did not like President Tinubu’s economic reforms, but now that they are producing results, we are all joining him to support them,” he added. In order for development to occur at the grassroots level, especially in Ife/Ijesa, I want to urge those who oppose government policies to begin endorsing them. We will have reason to smile in the next year.

“The PDP has abandoned itself. Whoever remains in the PDP, I urge them not to sink with the party. There is no chance for that party again. There is no road via PDP again, and all political office holders in the party should not strive to create one; instead, I urge them all to abandon that path and join the party with a development program.”

Fadahunsi who recently joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) with two members of the Federal House of Representatives from his constituency, Sanya Omirin and Taofeek Ajilesoro, and wooed his National Assembly colleagues to his new party.
